PRO MINI STOCK
Raceceivers ARE MANDATORY
BODY & CHASSIS–
· Standard production American made four passenger sedans with rear wheel drive car.
· Factory stock chassis and body with stock dimensions and body must match frame. After market or homemade doors and front fenders are allowed but must remain stock appearing.
· The wheelbase must be unaltered, with a 102” maximum wheelbase, NO Camaros or T-Birds.
· All suspension parts must remain in stock location.
· Running an aftermarket nosepiece and tailpiece will be permitted.
· NO weight jacks. Heavy duty or racing type shocks OK but only one shock per wheel.
· Stock spoilers are OK but NO spoiler will be more than 4” high from deck lid.
· 1 lb per CC with a 2500 lb minimum weight. CC’s must be posted on hood. Engines will be checked weekly.
· Racing tires are permitted but must not exceed 8” width MAX.
· 7-inch steel wheels ONLY, 8-inch tire width MAXIMUM.
· 4 cylinder only and must be mounted in stock OEM location.
· NO fuel injection, NO rotary engines.
· Engine must be stock appearing OEM for body and chassis. Engine must be same make as body of car. The year model is optional.
·
Stock carburetor or 350 Holley
P/N 7448 with NO MODIFICATIONS. Choke may be removed but NO grinding anywhere in
carb. NO carb spacers but may use carb adapter plate for mounting carb to
stock intake. Thickness between carb and intake must not exceed 2" including
plate and gaskets. There is a "ZERO" tolerance on this measurement.
· Stock fuel pump only, no fuel pressure regulators.
· Headers are permitted and exhaust must exit the side of the car.
· May use electric fuel pump on blocks not ported for mechanical pump. If using electric pump, a roll-over cut off switch must be installed.
· Must have an ON-OFF switch properly labeled and in easy access of the driver.
· Stock type clutch, no multiple disc, no button clutches, or lock-up couplers . No aluminum flywheels, steel only.
· No Aluminum drive shafts, steel only.
· Stock OEM intake. No rotary engines, no duel over head cams, no fuel injections. The block, head, and distributor must be stock OEM. No roller rockers, stock rocker arms only.
· Stock transmission with no modifications.

Princeton Speedway 2008 Rules
Hornets
This class is for drivers between 12 and 16 years of age with no previous racing experience. Hornets will also help seal the track prior to hot laps. This is an entry level class that will allow the younger drivers to learn the rules and race procedures of the track as well as giving them some valuable driving experiences to prepare them for advancement up to the other classes. The cost of racing will be kept to a minimum while emphasizing on safety and fun!
RACE RULES:
· Four (4) cylinder, front wheel drive cars only, Ford, Chevy, Mopar up to 2000CC Maximum.
· Complete stock body, frame, and suspension. No bracing anywhere except inside the drivers compartment.
· Dash, steering, and pedals must remain stock for that make & model.
· Battery must remain under hood.
· No quad 4S or 4 valve heads. No high performance parts.
· Stock carburetor/fuel injection system for that make and model no turbos, ETC.
· Stock unaltered rear end for that make and model.
· Passenger tires that are stock for that make and model.
· Wheels and tires must be of like size. No low profile performance tires.
· Right side must have oversized lug nuts.
· No removing of sheet metal hinges or interior metal.
· Cars must be approved by track.
· Mandatory rule and modifications.
· Four point roll cage 1 3/8” x .090 wall seamless type steel tubing with three bars in driver door.
· Driver’s door may be hulled on the inside for door and bar clearance only.
· Racing seat (no fiberglass).
· Fire extinguisher, Helmet, Full Body Fire Suit required.
· All exterior trim and all glass must be removed.
· If car came with a third brake light it may remain in place.
· If stock gas tank is behind rear axle it must be replaced with a fuel cell or boat tank maximum of 6.6 gal that is covered, secured, and located in the trunk.
· Window net on driver’s door.
· Two hood pins on front part of hood and two on trunk lid.
· Doors must be welded shut.
· Recommended that horn works (not required).
· Car numbers a minimum of 18” x 4” in contrasting color and on both doors and roof facing tower. Number must be visible by scorers with 6” number of rear of car.
MODIFICATIONS ALLOWED
· Removal of air conditioner and A/C pump.
· Removal of inertia switch (Fuel shut off-Ford).
· Removal of all upholstery and insulation under hood.
· Electric cooling fan may be wired to run continuously.
· Fuel tank must be separated from driver’s compartment by metal firewall.
· Dashboard may be removed to facilitate bar installation.
THE FOLLOWING WILL BE CHECKED
· Stock wheels and tires.
· Stock suspension in stock location.
· Four wheel working brakes.
· Stock steering column and start with a key.
· Hood, trunk, and doors must have hinges.
· Stock transmission.
· No altered fuel.
· No body modifications.
· No removing of interior or exterior sheet metal (Left door only for roll bars).
· Stock ride height.
· Beginners only track claim rule is in effect at all times this is to be a fun class no one will be allowed to dominate a handicap system will insure that competition will be entertaining and fun for the drivers.

STREET STOCK - 2008
BODY
· Please be appearance conscious.
· American made cars only.
· No pick ups, station wagons, or convertibles.
· Bodies must remain stock in all dimensions.
· No after market or home made body parts (with the exception of front and rear nosepieces, front fenders, and doors).
· Must have stock appearing front and rear bumpers.
· No external push bars.
· Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance.
· No hulling of car.
· Doors may be gutted for roll bar clearance.
· Must be same as manufactures (olds in Chevy okay).
· Stock cast iron block, intake and heads for the make of car you are using., Hydraulic or mech. Cam shaft only.
· No aluminum heads, no turbo, dart or bowtie heads.
· No marine intakes.
· Stock transmission.
· Stock clutch.
· 2 barrel cast in-take.
· Stock production cast iron heads only.
NO GM Performance heads that were never produced for a street cars.
· If any numbers are grounded off or altered on head or in-take, consider it illegal.
· No visible after market performance parts.
· Stock cast iron exhaust manifolds.
· Exhaust pipes must be at least 24” long with max 2” ID.
· No leaks in pipes or manifolds.
· Stock production 2 barrel carburetor maximum, must be correct for make of car.
· No Holly or racing 2 or 4 V carburetors permitted. NO EXCEPTIONS.
· Air cleaner may not protrude through hood.
· No functional hood scoops.
· Hood must fit tight on front and back.
· Stock OEM ignition system.
· No electrical fuel pumps, stock only, no pressure regulator.
· No engine set back.
· If firewall has been altered, a blow proof bell housing or ¼” plated board is acceptable as a scatter shield.
· No aluminum blocks.
· Must have fuel cell mounted with 4 cross straps.
· Standard pump gas or racing gas permitted.
· No alcohol, methanol, or alcohol related additives.
· Steel wheel only. 10 “ max width, right from wheel should be reinforced.
· 1 Bead lock wheel permitted on right rear of car ONLY.
· No extremely reversed wheels, 60/40 maximum.
· Must have at least ½” wheel studs, large lug nuts highly recommended.
· American Racer or Hoosier DOT tires, or any DOT approved tires ok but 10” width MAX.
· No mud, snow, or all terrain tires are permitted. 10” tread width maximum.
· No tire larger than P305 permitted.
· No extremely reversed wheels.
· Re-grooving of tires is allowed.
· Tires can not extend from under body more than 1 inch.
· On body styles where more than 1” or tire protrudes, must not extend 60-40 wheel offset.
· No buffing or grinding.
· Absolutely no custom built or tube chassis.
· Stock frames with stock type suspension in stock locations.
· Stock means Stock.
· GM may use 9” Ford rear end, no floaters, but all mounting brackets must remain in the stock location for the make of car you are using.
· No quick change rear ends or quick change transmissions.
· Rear end may be locked.
· Any ratio permitted.
· After market axles recommended.
· Stock type 4 wheel disc brakes are allowed, no aftermarket rotors or calipers.
· Adjustable brake proportioning valves allowed.
· Pan-hand bar is optional.
· Coil spring cars will use coil springs, and leaf types cars will use leaf springs.
· No coil covers.
· No weight jacks.
· No traction devices allowed.
· Unaltered wheel base.
· Car must weigh a minimum of 3500 lbs after race.
· Engine Claim $1500.00. Only top 5 drivers finishing the feature event can claim engine. Claiming driver must have completed in at least 50% if the seasons races up to and including that night. Driver can only claim an engine in finishing position ahead of him, not behind him. Example, 3rd can claim 2nd, 2nd can claim 1st, etc. Driver being claimed may in turn buy the engine of the driver claiming his engine to ensure him of an engine to race with the following week, provided the engine he is buying will fit his car.
· A driver can only make two claims per season, but not claim the same drivers engine more than once. Penalty for refusing to sell a claimed engine is disqualification form that night’s event, forfeiting all money and points earned that night, plus suspension from the next two race meets for the driver and the car.
· See track officials or tech inspector for list of items included with engine claim.
PRINCETON SPEEDWAY
· American made cars only.
· No pick ups, station wagons, or convertibles.
· ALL Bodies must remain stock appearing in all dimensions.
· Fenders may be trimmed for tire clearance.
· Must have stock appearing body.
· Aftermarket bodies allowed, (Five Star, Performance Bodies, Etc.) Must be approved by track. Body must be same manufacturer as chassis, (Chevy on Chevy, Ford on Ford, etc.). All bodies must have original body lines and be closed in rear end. Body must conform to stock appearing or not be allowed to compete. Body must sit on frame in OEM position. Roof, deck lid, and hood heights must be same as stock dimensions. Window openings must retain stock dimensions. NO Fiberglass body parts ALLOWED! This body rule is a new concept for this class and a “ZERO” tolerance will be enforced on body appearance and stock dimensions. See weight requirements below.
· Stock Steel Bodies. If you decide to run a stock steel body, they are required to have stock steel hood, roof, rear deck lid, and upper rear quarter panels. May run aftermarket stock appearing nosepiece and tailpiece. May still use aftermarket front fenders, doors, and lower quarter panels, (from top of rear wheel opening and below). See weight requirements below.
· No custom or tube type chassis. Frame rails may be tied.
· Stock OEM upper and lower control arms and must remain in stock location.
· Stock suspension parts in stock location. NO coil over shocks.
· Weight jacks are permitted.
· All OEM suspension and stabilizing mounting brackets on rear-end must remain in stock location.
· No aluminum drive shafts.
· Two shocks per wheel maximum.
· May use 9” Ford rear end in any make of car, but all mounting brackets must be in the stock location for the make of car you are using. May be locked, any gear ratio permitted.
· No quick change rear ends or transmissions.
· After market axles recommended.
· No traction devices. Panhard bar OK but no modified mounting ends.
· Cars using an aftermarket body must weigh 3500 lbs after the race, cars using a stock steel body must weigh 3400 lb after race. Both weights are w/driver.
· Coil spring cars must use coil springs; leaf spring cars use leaf springs, etc.
· No external push bars.
· Must have racing seats mounted to frame or cage in car.
· Race cars that do not have a factory stock rear spoiler may install a spoiler. Can be no more than 4” in height from deck lid.
· See safety equipment section in the rulebook.
· If you don’t see it in these rules, consider it illegal.
· Must retain stock wheelbase for make and model of car.
· Must have fuel cell mounted with 4 cross straps.
· No alcohol, methanol, or alcohol related additives, or additives to change the odor of exhaust.
· Must be same as manufacture of car. (Example: olds in Chevy).
· Any single 4 barrel carburetor is ok.
· Top of air cleaner may not extend further than 4” from top of factory shaped hood.
· No electric fuel pumps.
· No functional hood scoops.
· Aluminum heads and intake will be permitted.
· Headers are okay, any type of ignition system.
· No Tunnel Ram intakes.
· Engine set back #1 spark plug hole even with ball joint.
· If firewall has been altered, a blow proof bell housing or ¼” plated floor is mandatory.
· No aluminum blocks.
· Late Model tires are permitted with maximum width of 15”.
· Wide 5 wheels are permitted.
· Bead locks are permitted.
· Must have at least ½” wheel studs, large lug nuts mandatory.
· American Racers, Hoosier, or Goodyear racing tires OK.
· Re-grooving tires are allowed.

If you don’t see it in the following rules, refer to the other sections of the Princeton Speedway rules or ask a track official before spending money on something that may not be legal.
· NO RADIOS
· Raceceivers required anytime your car is on the track for any reason.
· GOODYEAR TRACK TIRES ONLY – G45 OR G50

*All engines will be sealed. GM engines are sealed from the factory.
All Engines and parts must
be as from factory and all components there of.
Any changes will result in disqualification and no points awarded.
This includes but is not
limited to harmonic balancers, valve springs, push rods, rocker arms, after
market valve covers.
***NO upgrades are allowed to any engine that may produce power via "performance
enhancing methods".

Cheating on engines
and engine parts
Any competitor caught cheating
"within the bolts".
Will be barred for the remainder of the Princeton Speedway racing season including an invitation to the FASTRAK National Championship, and lose all points earned to date. All illegal parts will be confiscated and destroyed.
Competitor, (driver and car owner), will be fined $1000. Fine must be paid before competitor can compete at Princeton Speedway again.
Competitor will be reported to GM as tampering with the sealed bolts for competition is against the written rules and obtaining seal bolts from a non-licensed GM dealer is illegal and GM will seek prosecution.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES
No electronic devices allowed on any car thereby enhancing adjustment of that
car.
No remote control devices allowed on any car during any event.
No electronic devices controlling shocks.
BODIES
Ford, GM or Dodge bodies may be used.
All body parts must be same as nose. (Ford, GM, Dodge)

Race Rules and Operating Procedures
Princeton Speedway is private property and by entering the premises, competitors & participants indicate that they are aware that auto racing involves risks & assume these risks with full awareness & knowledge that death and/or serious injury may result and agree to all rules, regulations and
decisions of Princeton Speedway.
Through your registration, purchase of pit pass or ticket or entering the premises you have been given the authority and the privilege to be on this property. The officials of Princeton Speedway reserves the right to revoke / cancel this privilege at any time that it is felt that your presence or conduct is not in the best interest of the sport of auto racing, your fellow competitors, the fans, management, or employees of Princeton Speedway. You also give permission to use any photograph or image, interviews, results or anything else to be used in any manner that track so desires without any remuneration whatsoever.
**** All drivers and car owners must know these rules so that at NO time will it be necessary to question a track official regarding said rules during a race meet. Anyone causing a delay in the program by not knowing these rules and procedures and asking unnecessary questions or delaying the race program due to not knowing the correct rules will be disqualified.
· The flag stand and scoring tower is OFF LIMITS to anyone other than track employees. NO driver, car owner, pit crew member, or family member will attempt to delay or interfere with the running of a race by stopping on the track, approaching the flag stand, or entering the tower. The penalty will be:
1. First Offense – car, car owner, and driver will be suspended for 2 race meets and fined $200. Fine must be paid before returning to Speedway.
2. Second Offense – car, car owner, and driver will be suspended for remainder of race season voiding all points earned to date.
· Interference with, or violence directed towards any track official or employee of Princeton Speedway will be deemed misconduct and dealt with in the harshest manner legally possible. Princeton Speedway will not tolerate violence in anyway. Violators will be banned from Princeton Speedway property.
· NO RADIOS IN ANY CLASS.
· Raceceivers ARE REQUIRED IN EVERY CAR IN EVERY CLASS. IT MUST BE IN WORKING ORDER ANYTIME YOUR CAR IS ON THE TRACK. NO EXCEPTIONS. Raceceivers ARE AVAILABLE FOR SALE OR RENT FROM PRINCETON SPEEDWAY.
· Absolutely no use or possession of alcohol or drugs in or around the pit area. Violators will be immediately escorted from speedway property without ticket refund. If the violator is a racecar driver, he/she will be suspended for remainder of season and all points earned to date will be voided.
· When the track offers an increased purse for any class, cars competing for the increased purse must have at least raced in 50% of the current seasons events. Cars showing up to compete on an increased purse night that have not raced in 50% of the seasons events will run for the normal weeks payout for that class. The ONLY exception to this rule is if the increased purse for that class has been advertised as an “Open Invitational Race”. No other exceptions.
· No work is permitted on the racecars on the track. No driver is allowed out of his/her seat while on the track. Violators of this rule will mean immediate disqualification of driver and car for the remainder of the night. ONLY unless driver has been instructed to exit the car by a track official or safety worker will no penalty be assessed.
· The driver is responsible for the actions of family and pit crew while at the speedway. If they break any of the speedway rules, the driver and car will pay the penalty.
· Jump Starts – The penalty for jumping the start of the race will be:
1st offense will be a warning from flagman.
2nd offense you will be sent to the rear of the field.
3rd offense the violator will be scored a lap down but the race will not stop.
· There will only be two (2) attempts to start every race in double file formation. After two attempts, the third restart will be single file. All double file starts will begin out of turn 4, all single file starts will be from the cone on the backstretch. No passing before the cone. Any car passing before the cone will go to the rear and be charged with bring out the caution. All cars remain in original start position during both double file starts. Cars bring out a caution during the double file starts will be charged with the caution but will retain their original start position with no laps completed. Once a single file start has taken place, cars causing a caution will go to the rear even if no laps have been completed.
· All laps are scored in relation to the majority of the lead lap cars. All restart lineups will be done from the completion of the last green flag lap scored including lapped cars. The only exception will be if the race is within 5 (five) laps of the finish, the lap cars will go to the rear of the field. There is no racing back to the flag when the caution comes out.
· Any car not returning to the line-up spot that the track official directs them to on a line-up preceding a caution will no longer be scored and will be scored at the rear of the finish order. You will only be told ONE TIME where to line-up. If any driver or persons associated with a racecar on the track begin arguing with track officials over that drivers’ reline spot and delay the race program will be disqualified on the spot.
· Any car stopping on the track for the purpose of arguing with track officials and delaying the race will be either scored to the rear or disqualified. This action from drivers will not be tolerated. PERIOD.
· On the white flag lap, if the caution comes out and the accident is behind the leader, the race will finish with the caution flag and checkered flag together. All cars in front of the accident race to the checkers and all cars behind the accident will be scored according to how they crossed the line at the white flag. The car causing the accident will be scored to the rear and all others involved will also be scored as they crossed the line at the white flag.
Absolutely NO Traction Control devices of any type (electrical or mechanical) will be allowed or tolerated in any division.
· PLEASE NOTE – CAR AND DRIVER ARE ONLY ALLOWED 3 CAUTIONS DURING A RACE EVENT. PERIOD.
· All car numbers must be legible and able to be seen clearly from the scorer’s tower or car will not be scored. Number must be minimum 18” on both sides of car doors and 10” high on both front and rear of car.
· When your class is called for line-ups on pit road, it will only be called 3 times. If you are not there to be lined up by the 3rd call, you will be lined up on the rear and cars in that inside or outside row will move forward. If a car fails to make the class call due to mechanical failure, cars lined up will criss-cross line up if the cars are still lined up on pit road.
· No driver changes allowed after the heat races have been completed. No cars will be added to the feature once that car’s class has completed its heats.
· If a car is determined to be unsafe by a track official at anytime, it will be black-flagged.
· If at anytime the lead cars bump or bank off each other and spin out, both will be sent to the rear. The only exception will be if the lead car is hit behind the drivers door by the 2nd place car. In this case the leader remains and the 2nd car goes to the rear.
· Any bumping or rough driving during a caution or after the race finished will be punished in loss of current track position or scored to the rear of finish order.
· Any car or driver that is considered “disqualified” will not receive any points or money for that race event.
· Points are awarded to the driver, not the car.
· No driver can move down a class during a race season. A driver can only move up a class and compete in no more than 1 (one) point race events during a season. A driver that moves up and competes in more than 1 (one) races can not move back down. Points earned in a class will remain in that class and will not be transferred to another class.
· A driver can only drive 1 (one) car, in 1 (one) class per night. If a driver is forced to drop from the feature race before it starts due to illness or other legitimate reason, a driver from that class or lower class may be substituted upon approval from track officials, and that car will start from the rear.
· A driver can only use the car he/she has entered at the time of the pill draw. If your car breaks, no substitute car will be allowed.
· Any person entering the pit area must have a pit pass and sign the pit release forms. At any time the track officials have the right to have a physical examination of a pit pass holder or vehicle entering the pit area. Only vehicles pulling race cars will be allowed in the pit area. No exceptions.
· No courtesy laps will be given unless it is deemed for a safety check of the car.
· When a race is stopped due to weather or any other unforeseen problems, the money for races completed will be paid. If 50% of the feature races have been completed, it will be considered a completed race program and no rain checks will be issued. It will be determined by track officials when and if the in-completed races will be run. If only heats have been completed when stoppage occurs, the following week will be the rain date and a complete new program including pill draw will be ran, unless otherwise announced. If a race is stopped before it is completed, the pay-out will be based on the last green flag lap scored. Any car causing the stoppage will be scored to the rear of the pay-out.
· PLEASE NOTE!!!
The decisions of the Speedway Officials on interpretation of the rules, lap scoring, and/or race procedures will be FINAL in all cases!
SPEEDWAY DISCLAIMER
The race director shall be empowered to permit minor deviations from any of the specifications herein, or impose any further restrictions that in his opinion, do not alter the minimum acceptable requirements. No expressed or implied warranty of safety shall result from such alteration of specifications. Any interpretation or deviation of these rules is left to the discretion of the officials. Their decision is FINAL in all cases.
PURPOSE
The rules and/or regulations set forth herein are designed to provide for the orderly conduct of racing events, and to establish minimum acceptable requirements for such events. These rules shall govern the conditions of all events, and by participating in these events.
All participants are deemed to have complied with these rules. No express or implied warranty of safety shall result from publications of, or compliance with these rules and/or regulations. They are intended as a guide for the conduct of the sport, and are in no way a guarantee against injury or death to a participant, spectator, or official.
No driver, car owner, pit crew member, spectator, or track employee will have any claim for damages or other expenses against the speedway or another track employee. Any injury occurring at the track must be reported to track officials before leaving Speedway property. Princeton Speedway will not be held responsible for ambulance service charges.
GROUNDS FOR DISQUALIFICATIONS
1. Alcoholic beverages in the pit area by driver, crewmen, or anyone affiliated with your car.
2. Misconduct by driver, crewmen, or family member. (**)
3. Fighting (Anyone involved). (**)
4. Obscene language.
5. Intentionally spinning out (yourself or someone else).
6. Three (3) spinouts in one night.
7. Blocking the track.
8. Illegal car or driver entry.
9. Pit crew or anyone belonging to you coming out on the track.
10. Not obeying the layover flag or black flag.
11. Rough or wreck-less driving.
12. Driver, crewmen, or family member entering another drivers pit area for the purpose of arguing or instigating a fight.
(**) In addition to disqualification – a fine of $200 will be imposed and will be paid before being allowed back on Speedway property for violent misconduct or fighting by driver, crewmen, or anyone affiliated with your car.
ALL CLASSES WILL HAVE A 10 MINUTE TIME LIMIT ON HEAT RACES AND 30 MINUTE TIME LIMIT ON FEATURES. THE ONLY EXCEPTION WILL BE ON FEATURES WITH INCREASED PURSES WITH INCREASED LAPS.
SAFETY RULES AND REGULATIONS
1. An approved full body fire-proof suit and a Snell 75 minimum approved helmet is mandatory. We recommend you wear fire retardant gloves and shoes, but they are not mandatory.
